Are you ready for some football?

Ladies, whether you love to hate it or hate to love it, football is an ongoing phenomenon across America. From college football to the NFL or various other leagues, it has always been known as a rough and tough sport. Most women watch it for the sake of spending time with friends and family, but few watch it for the love of the game.

Understanding the rules and how the game truly works is the first step in enjoying football. Rules vary from college to the NFL and Arena League standards.

“I think it is important to know the basics and understand that at the end of the day it is nothing more than a game,” said WVU student Chelsea Bush.

Knowing the details of the game really allow for you to better understand why people may take the game to heart.

Some think the sport may only be a game, but for others it means the world and so much more.

“The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fail,” said famously by NFL Legend Vince Lombardi.

While you may consider it a sport it is important to realize that players and coaches alike make this their lives. Learning to respect this and taking interest in the hard work and dedication these players make for your enjoyment gives you a whole different perspective of the game.

Hard work for this sport doesn’t come from just heart and mind, but from physical preparation. As you may love watching a toned football player giving a press interview in the locker room after a game, many hours of straining and determination get the players into their peak physical condition. From college athletes to professionals, most workout at a minimum of 12 hours a week and spend at least 5 hours recovering.

“Football is like a car collision daily, most athletes seek chiropractic care,” said Dr. David Hall of Hall of Fame Chiropractic.

All of these bits of information can certainly help any female disbeliever try to get into the game of football, but the most important fact is to try and enjoy the game no matter what. Spending an evening with friends and family and cheering on your hometown heroes is always a great experience in itself.

“No one ever watches the game alone even if it is only for the simple pleasure that it is more exciting to watch with those close to you,” Bush said.
