LCD Soundsystem’s new album, "This is Happening," has been out for a few months now and no matter how many times we listen to the rest of the disc (do people say that anymore?), we always go back to the first single, "Dance Yrself Clean." 

Clocking in at more than 9 minutes, this track isn’t what you’d first consider for a single. In fact, it takes three minutes for the song to truly kick in. But when it does, it’s glorious. 

All the synth and bloops and bleeps propel you forward, while the lyrics speak of redemption on a micro, personal relationships scale. This isn’t rave dancing music, and it really will make you want to head out to a club and dance yourself clean.

And sometimes that’s the best thing that can be said about music and why LCD will always hold a special place in our hearts.
