MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Mon Hills Records announces the signing of their newest artist addition, Ducain. The band, hailing from Huntington has traveled to Morgantown several times this fall to record in the Mon Hills Records studio, Blues Alley. The full-length album will be completed December 2019, with a release date to follow.
Ducain consists of singer/songwriter Jeremy Sargent, Rich Mills on bass, Austin Lewis on lead guitar, and Jared Holley on drums and occasionally lending his voice. The band’s talent and passion for music joins together to create a symphony of soulful, southern rock and roll.
Sargent says this album will reflect the “ups and downs of everyday life.” There will be a song for everyone and a song for every situation life throws at you.
Jeremy and Jared are both teachers, and every member credits their family with inspiring their work in some way or another, proving Ducain’s strong sense of connection to their communities and family, like most West Virginians.
According to the band, inspiration for their sound is different for each member, ranging from bands such as Kings of Leon, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Rolling Stones to jazz ensembles and heavy metal.
Ducain’s single “Mountain Mama” and their Phoenix EP, released in 2018, can be found on iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, and Spotify. These songs provide a taste of the dynamic sound Ducain has to offer. Upon release of the full-length album, the CD will be available to order online at www.monhillsrecords.com and at regional outlets.
In the meantime, check out Ducain on Instagram and Facebook for information on upcoming performances and the album release.
