Scott Workman's musical style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence. Growing up in Germany and encircled by a talented musical family meant that Scott was always exposed to different forms of music. His first introduction to an instrument came when he started to play drums at age 13. Later he picked up his father's acoustic guitar and began to play. The bass quickly followed, which lead him to his first band, Bold Country. At the tender age of 15 and surrounded by his father and oldest brother, Bold Country played various venues around Germany.

After moving to Summersville, W.Va., at age 19, he realized that making music was his main goal.

Scott achieved notoriety by showcasing his talent as a singer/songwriter and bass player in diverse groups across the state, all of which have had a profound influence on the direction his musical journey has taken. Scott made sure to immediately associate his name with his soulful finesse of music and songwriting skills. He was quickly noted for the alluring atmosphere that he brought to the stage and his popularity began to grow locally.

He released multiple albums that received critically acclaimed reviews and gained exposure in respected statewide publications. Endorsements carried by Scott include AKG and CAD Microphones.

As a result of his professional reputation and contributions to the local music scene, Scott found himself working with and opening for major bands such as Heart, Steppenwolf, and Black Oak Arkansas. He shared venues with ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd while performing for the West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals.

As his songwriting achievements grew and his style progressed, he soon saw a loyal following develop and he became a popular local talent in southern West Virginia. Music lovers were seduced by his words, grooves and bold bravado. The accomplished musician was seeing the musical community singing along to his original works and requesting enticing fan favorites such as "Mr. Acree" and "SoulFunkSuperfly". Signature compositions such as "Being Mine" and "Proton Laser Man" received statewide radio play in heavy rotation. His song "May I Have Your Love" received Honorable Mention and placed among the Top 500 in the 13th Annual Billboard World Songwriting Contest, which demonstrated that Scott possesses the ability and dedication needed to write a "Hit Song".

As appreciation is building for his sound and talent, he has been honing his expertise recently as bass player and background vocalist for Jason Mitchell, a seasoned country music artist. His latest project has led him to The Tracking Room recording studio in Nashville where work is being completed on an upcoming promotional album.

BiggDaddy & the Mudcats actively perform throughout West Virginia and surrounding states.

Their musical talents were showcased most recently on Up Late, Marshall University's studentproduced late-night variety show that featured legendary television and radio personality Larry King. The performance can be viewed on www.youtube.com.
