All You Need Is Love, and Maybe a Gun

There are not too many things that rile West Virginians. We seem to weather changes in the economy – if groceries are high priced, we just go out and stick a few plants in the ground and make due. If we have judges or legislators found on the take, no problem, we get rid of them for a few more that do the same thing.


Everything seems to stay pretty smooth in life until someone mentions gay marriage or taking away our guns. I happen to be quite happy in life never having shot a gun of any kind, but that being said, I’m very strong in my beliefs that no one has the right to legislate whether I want a gun in my house or not. I believe in the freedom of choices — the very rights for which this country was founded. I believe 90 percent or more West Virginians are with me on this point.
