Book Wishlist for OctoberI know, it's not even September yet! But looking ahead to the new releases of late September/October, here's the ones that caught my eye. Oh, and in case anyone's wondering, a lot of the Christmas books make their debut in October. So I'll have plenty of time to read and recommend the good ones before Dec. 24!1. Sunshine by Robin McKinley - this is apparently a reprint, but suddenly I'm hearing a lot of good things about this book - a kind of survivalist against the vampires book. 2. The Christmas Cookie Killer: A Fresh-Baked Mystery by Livia J. Washburn - Someone's knocking off old ladies at a cookie exchange. I'm going to up the irony by reading this while eating Christmas cookies. (; 3. Blood Lite edited by Kevin J. Anderson - Whimsical horror tales compiled by the Horror Writers' Association and containing such authors as Jim Butcher, Charlaine Harris, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Kelley Armstrong and Sharyn McCrumb. I like whimsical horror! 4. Found You by Mary SanGiovanni - Someone is being stalked by a nightmare creature that may kill off the town. It's Halloween time and I want some scary books! 5. River Runs Red by Jeffrey J. Mariotte - Three friends drawn into a supernatural war. Halloween = scary books! 6. Addicted to Love by Lori Wilde - A hopeless romantic is left at the altar and wants to stop her town's "romance capital" reputation. 7. Christmas Weddings by Carole Mortimer, Shirley Jump and Margaret McDonagh - A romance short-stories collection themed for Christmas. 8. Come the Night by Susan Krinard - sounds like Romeo and Juliet meets werewolves. 9. Home for the Holidays by Lisa Plumley - a holiday romance meets Hollywood. Sounds fun! 10. Irreversible by Liz Maverick - A Shomi book about a woman living a manufactured life. I think. 11. Naughty or Nice by Sherri Erwin - A woman is torn between two men, one who is a bad boy and one who is a nice guy. So that's what I'm looking forward to! Oh, there's one other book, but it's not until Oct. 28 and is technically a November release. And I've read it. Multiple times. (;
